My Account FAQ

How can we help?

Frequently Asked Questions about Your Account

Can I have a physical copy of my documents?

We are an entirely online company, and in our efforts to remain as efficient and green as possible, all of your documents will be sent to you electronically via email. This way we can make sure you receive your documents as quickly as possible, and that you have the freedom to easily access your documents at any time. If prefer a physical copy, please feel free to print your documents off at your leisure! You can also get much of what you need by logging into the customer portal.

How do I change the information on my policy?

Log in to your customer account to make changes such as cancelling your coverage, editing payment information and updating your business address. If you are unable to make changes in your customer account, please email us at support@nextinsurance.com and include a description of the changes you’d like to make. In some cases, we may revise your policy documents to reflect the changes. If this is the case, we will email you the appropriate documents along with confirmation of the changes made to your file within seven to 10 business days.

How do I update my payment information?

We’re happy to let you know that you're able to update your payment information anytime through your online customer account. To update your payment information, simply do the following:
  1. Go to www.nextinsurance.com and log in to your customer account using your email or phone number
  2. Once you've logged in, click the “My Account” button in the top right
  3. Click "Billing"
  4. Click “Edit" to the right of your payment card
  5. Click “Save”
You’ll then be able to update your payment information and get up to date on any lapsed payments you may have.

I need to add a General Contractor or employer as an additional insured, can I do that with this policy?

Absolutely! We know this is a common need for contractors, so we’ve given you the power to create certificates of insurance and add additional insureds right from your customer account, 24/7, with Live Certificates. You can read more about our Live Certificates and how they work here. If your contractor needs special language on the certificate or other forms (called endorsements), please send a sample certificate to support@nextinsurance.com and an agent will be happy to review those requirements with you.

How do I cancel my policy?

We're sorry to see you go. To cancel your policy, please follow these instructions:
  1. Log in to your account using your email or phone number
  2. On the homepage of your customer account, click the blue arrow to the right of the policy you’d like to cancel
  3. Click "Cancel coverage"
Once you follow the prompts and submit your request, we'll process the cancellation effective immediately. You’ll receive a confirmation email and a pro-rated refund within a few business days.

How can I get a certificate of insurance (COI)?

Once you have a NEXT policy, you’ll have 24/7 access to proof of your insurance (also called a certificate of insurance, or COI) via web or app. Log in to your account, download your COI instantly or deliver it via email or text at no additional cost. Get unlimited certificates and add an additional insured as you need them.
