Mark opened Brotha Bakes in November of 2019, touting the “greatest cakes you can buy in a jar.” He planned to expand his bakery business through festivals and local markets, but shelter-in-place orders forced him to take a new approach. For now, he’s focusing on his online shop and delivery, spreading the word through on Instagram @brothabakes.
For his Built By Business project, Mark made 220 of his signature mason jar cakes and donated them to first responders at Houston Methodist Hospital.
